FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT

An intensive 6-month online Full Stack Development course designed to prepare you for a career in building complete web applications.

Full Stack Software developers combines both Frontend (client-side) and Backend (server-side) development, enabling you to design user-friendly interfaces while also building the logic, databases, and servers that power them.

Full Stack Developers need to be skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like ReactJS or Angular, as well as backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP, and databases like MySQL or MongoDB.

With these skills, Full Stack Developers can build end-to-end solutions, making them highly versatile and in-demand in today’s tech industry.

Curriculum

There are no pre-requisites for this program,  just a simple test on basic computer knowledge. You will learn about software development, apply the lessons and make them real. Some of the things you will learn include:

  • Pseudocode
  • Functions, Classes and Data Structures
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Modules and Asynchronous Programming
  • Javascript and the Browser: Classes and Object Prototypes
  • Web Application Development Deployment & The Cloud CI/CD
  • Advanced Web Development
  • JavaScript Design Patterns and Writing Tests

Schedule

Everyday, you will spend hours outside of mandatory live class studying, designing or building. While the schedule is flexible, you must invest about 20 hours a week including:

  • Live classes
  • Fireside chats with industry experts and mentors
  • Live Q&As with experienced developers
  • Monthly Sprint
  • Challenges Access to facilitators and mentors

Seamfix NextGen Academy is a fully funded scholarship program created to empower outstanding graduates across Africa with world-class tech skills.

For this first phase, we are prioritizing candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Between 18–35 years at the time of application.
  • Academic Background: First Class and strong Second Class Upper (2:1) graduates in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Digital Readiness: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with the internet. Shortlisted applicants will also complete a computer literacy test as part of the process.
  • Location: Applications are currently open to candidates from Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Ivory Coast. Future cohorts will expand to include Ghana, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
  • Commitment: A genuine drive to build a career in technology and readiness to dedicate six months (starting September 2025) to the program.
  • Preparedness:Access to a laptop, reliable internet, and a quiet study environment.
